This is the girl who puts stars up her nose:)

I just got off the phone with Joe. He is home with the girls this morning and this is how our conversation goes-

Joe- we just avoided a major catastrophe

Me- what happened? (feeling nervous that something horrible happened)

Joe- well Katey was eating her toast and doing great and all the sudden she was crying that her nose hurt

Me- so what did she do? Thinking it was bleeding or she hit it somehow..

Joe- I looked up her nose and I could see the end of something...it was really far up there. Katey was crying and told me she put a star up her nose.

Me- (laughing) so did you get it out? All the while imagining Joe and Katey trying to get the star out of her nose. Relieved that this is what Joe considers a catastrophe.

Joe- yes, after trying to get her to blow it out and then using a tweezer he finally retrieved the star.

Luckily this didn't require a trip to doctor Myhre. Hopefully Katey will never do this again! I wish I could have seen Joe at work on Katey's nose. We are really learning so much as parents!

At least she put it up her own nose and not Makenna's!

One of my first memories is when I was right about Katey's age. It was the time I thought it would be a good idea to put a Sixlet (you know, the candy) up my nose.

Oh Emily - this is great!! Bella ALWAYS put stuff up her nose . . . a little plastic flower . . . a tiny barrett from her hair. It was horrible - I'm so glad she finally outgrew that stage . . . and luckily we were able to remove all of them without the help of a doctor!
