Well the girls met Santa on Saturday...luckily he decided to visit the Elks Club so there were very short lines and little time to change our mind about sitting on his lap! Katey surprised all of us by getting right up there and telling him what she wanted for Christmas. Her top wish list items "DORA TOYS"...nothing specific, just Dora toys. Makenna wasn't in the best of moods so we just snapped a quick picture and got her off of his lap before she realized what was happening. Both girls received a small gift after meeting Santa and then we sat down for a little bit of pizza and fruit punch. Katey's friends Isabella and Olivia joined the fun too, Nana and Papa picked them up on their way. It was very cute to see all the girls dressed up and excited to see Santa. It was funny to watch Katey's reaction when he arrived...she was a bit nervous and started licking her lips (this seems to be a new nervous tic for her-thanks Aunt Stacy!). She flushed a little when he came over to talk to her, but she didn't cry and even talked to him. Hopefully all of her wishes will come true and this Christmas will be filled with lots of Dora toys and princesses, and barbies...all things Katey has asked for. Overall Katey has been a very good girl lately so I think she might be rewarded. I am so excited for Christmas and can't wait to see her reaction to the presents and all the new toys. Having a "believer" in the house has been fun:)

That is so true Emily!!! My heart just melts watching Kadin's face when he wakes up on Christmas morning to find the cookies have been eaten and the milk is gone. His eyes are so bright and full of wonder. There is nothing that compares to that!
