We had a wonderful Christmas...the girls are so blessed and received MANY gifts. In fact, they played and played all weekend with their new toys...made me think that maybe Christmas should come around more often! Christmas Eve we spent at home with my parents-my mom has a new appreciation for me now that she helped me cook in my teeny, tiny kitchen! We frosted cookies for Santa and Katey did a wonderful job...luckily Santa has a sweet tooth and enjoyed the frosting and pound of sprinkles on each cookie! Katey picked out two cookies for Santa and as I poured the milk she looked at me startled and said, "Is the milk going to go bad?"...we decided Santa would be okay even if he had to drink warm milk.
Christmas morning we woke up and opened all of the presents, Katey is lucky this year because she gets the bonus of opening Makenna's gifts too. Makenna liked all of her presents-but really could have cared less about opening them. Katey was too cute with each gift-she was excited about EVERYTHING and was excited for Makenna too, saying things like "oh honey, sweetie...you will love this!".
Christmas day we went to the Isaacson's. Nana of course had lots of good food for us to eat! Jim and the girls (Maya, Ellie and Annika) were there and we were so happy to see them-luckily the weather cooperated and they made it to Eau Claire without any problems! Michele was working, so we missed seeing her, but it was so nice to see Jim and the girls. Katey and Annika played and played and played...until they were both exhausted and asked to go to bed!
Overall it was a wonderful Christmas and we are so thankful for each and every gift we received and the girls received-we truly are quite spoiled and believe me...we appreciate it!
