Fun tip

I have discovered something really cool....you can blog directly from Picasa...it is quick and easy and I am going to go out on a limb and say that you might be seeing more pictures on here now!
UPDATE-Makenna is going to have to have surgery...I am trying to schedule it for early June, should be a quick out patient surgery and according to the MD it is very routine. She talked about it sort of like we were just chatting about what to wear to work the next day or have for supper. I know it is routine, I was ready to hear the news...Makenna's eyes have stayed the same over the last six months and her crossing is noticable even when she has her glasses on. Luckily kids are really resiliant and Makenna should recover pretty easily, with only a small chance of infection or anything else that might be a "complication". I am not going to get worked up or worried about it quite yet, I have time for that later. Makenna was very patient at the clinic yesterday and I think she is going to manage this whole ordeal pretty well. My hope and prayer is that this is the only surgery she will need-an under or over correction could happen-but we can cross that bridge if/when we get there. I am of course a little biased and think Makenna is super adorable, but it was fun to hear from the doctors at the clinic how cute they think she is and how much they love her glasses. Best part of the appointment was that her prescription is the same...no new frames! Whoopeee! In the last 1.5 years we have gone through 4 frames and 3 prescriptions...and I took out vision insurance thinking that would help-yeah, apparently it only covers commercial vision...so that was a waste. Oh well. I entered a picture of the girls into the Children's Eye Care Foundation calendar contest...it was a toss up between this one and the one I submitted. I will post the other one with the link to vote once it is uploaded to the site. I won the camera last year, so I am disqualified for that this year but I can STILL try to actually make the calendar! Which would be more fun anyway-so stay tuned and get ready to vote!
