Halloween was once again a sucess. The girls dressed up as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and a Giraffe. We trick or treated with the Labers and the Moritz families again as we have the last two years...Larissa's neighborhood is perfect for trick or treating, lots of houses join in the festivities so we don't have to go too far and still get lots of candy. The "big" kids had to work out who got to ring the doorbell and who's turn it was...after like 6 houses of the three of them whining about it I finally said "you know what you guys are kind of wrecking it, just GO HAVE FUN!"...it doesn't need to always be a competition but I guess when you are four and five...it maybe does? By our turn around spot things were starting to get spotty...the little kids didn't want to stay in the wagon, and some of the big kids started tripping and whatnot and Katey was struck with a random ear ache. By the last few houses we were ready to be done-and laughed because it was pretty much the same as last year; everyone loses steam at the same time. Luckily once inside everyone warmed up and recharged with about 20 mini candy bars. Sugar highs always do the trick! And so we have to wait for another year to pass before we can celebrate again. Trick or Treat!
