Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I already know that I will be busy all day...so wanted to get some of my thoughts down before Thanksgiving has come and gone. As many of you who read this probably know, I am a pretty emotional and sentimental person. So with the holidays approaching and particularly Thanksgiving...I start to think about life, family, and what I am so fortunate to have.
This picture was taken a few weeks ago-I absolutely love it for two reasons: Makenna is so proud of herself (she got up into the rocker all by herself!) and how Katey is holding Makenna's hand for this picture. The hand holding was totally spontaneous and it just makes me smile because they both look so happy-in their pajama's and totally relaxed.
Which is why I am thankful. I am so thankful to have two beautiful little girls that love us and love each other-I am thankful for Joe, he is honestly my very best friend and I feel lucky that in the grand scheme of life and love I ended up with him-because no matter what happens he is still my best friend and can always make me laugh. I am thankful for everyone else in my family and all of my super amazing friends!! I think about all of the families that don't have anywhere to go tomorrow, or don't have any food to feed their familes...I hope that somehow they are blessed and find some reason to be happy and thankful tomorrow. I know that I do not have a perfect life and of course there is always room for "wants" or improvements, but when I really step back and think about it-I am so thankful for all the good things I do have and all the small things in life that seem to make all the difference in the world.
