Have saved my life the last two days! I admit it. I am bribing my daughter. Katey has been having a terrible time staying alseep in her own bed....and by terrible I mean, TERRIBLE-waking up two to three times a night and demanding to crawl into bed with us...which was okay for the few nights and weeks...but this has been going on for months now, MONTHS. I am to the point where between Katey and Makenna I feel like I have a newborn in my house again! Sooooo...the bribery has begun. I have to say that I am not one bit ashamed of this and I will keep doing it! Sunday night Katey picked out a Barbie at Walmart-knowing that she would open it when she woke up Monday morning, IF, she stayed in bed all night. Monday morning she woke up and walked into the bathroom while I was getting ready. She looked at me with her sleepy eyes and messy hair and said "do I get my Barbie now?". YES, YES you do!!! Last night Katey watched me making brownies before she went to bed and asked for one. I told her she could have one tomorrow morning if she stayed in bed all night....and guess what! She woke up today and marched into the kitchen wondering where her brownie was. She got her brownie and ate every bit of it at 6:30am...and I did not feel one bit bad about it!
So not sure what we will use tonight...all I can say is that two nights of uninterrupted sleep has been like HEAVEN. Mama needs her sleep.
