Katey got very comfortable in the lake this year, with the life jacket on she was all over the middle of the lake. She even braved going underneath the pontoon boat! Seeing her do those things brings back very fond memories that I have of swimming in Shantytown lake and jumping off the pontoon. It seems like yesterday that I would run down the hill with my cousins ready to swim...now I get to watch my own kids doing it. We lucked out and had beautiful weather the entire week we were at the cottage. The cottage is very different now, but it was fun to be able to tell Katey that when I was little I used to sleep in the very same room we were in this year.

Katey was super brave and went on the Tilt a Whirl with Joe...luckily he likes that stuff because if she went with me she would have to deal with a mom with motion sickness! She liked it, but said when she got off "I feel okay...but I kind of feel kind of funny too".

The girls all dressed up at my cousin Tyler and Danielle's wedding. Katey loved the bride and attached herself to my cousin Abby who was a bridesmaid. She even loved Abby's boyfriend Joe and danced with him!
