TGIF!

So happy to say that today is Friday...what a crazy long yet very fast week! Our house is a disaster of epic proportions because since we accepted the offer cleaning has been on the BOTTOM of my list! Gotta do something about that this weekend.
I woke up late this morning. Not like "Oh I better get going late" more like "OMG, craaappppp, I am SO late!" kind of late. Luckily the morning routine went amazing...Katey woke up cheerful and I told her that we were running late so we had to get going and get ready as quickly as possible. She brushed her teeth without crying!!! She got dressed and it only took 5 minutes!! Makenna woke up and was a bit confused because Daddy was missing (he is usually the one home in the morning when she wakes up) but was quickly relieved to see that Mamma was the lucky one to get her smiling little face out of the crib.
Both girls amazed me today!
On the way to Nana's Katey and I chatted about healthy food and what types of food are healthy and what colors they are...I am going to toot my horn a bit because she knows all her fruits and veggies and why it is important to eat healthy food "so that your body is healthy"! I watched a show last week that really disturbed me...elementary school kids in the country that do not know what a tomato is...or other various fruits/veggies. Scary. I mean, my kids eat their weight in chicken nuggets...and sometimes have chips for breakfast...but I feel good that they are learning the basics and appreciate why you should eat healthy foods. It is a work in progress!
Once we arrived at Nana's house the daycare routine was in full swing...cause were late! So all the kids were there and the baby (Baby Paige) was crying for a bottle. Kris got the bottle ready and Makenna took one look at it and said "Ba ba"...but the thing is, she wanted to FEED Paige! So she helped feed Paige her bottle-held it up for her while she drank away and was so proud of herself...what a little helper! She is such a good helper and I loved the smile on her face when I praised her for being such a nice girl and good helper. She beamed.
So what a good morning...good way to start the weekend. We looked at some houses last night...YUCK. We look at more tomorrow, let's hope they are better! The process is still fun and not stressful yet...I am enjoying looking at houses with Joe and talking about what we want/need and can live with in our next house.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
