This weekend we had our first official theater experience. Joe and I took Katey to Beauty and The Beast-presented by the Eau Claire Children's Theater. It was so awesome, I was really impressed by the sets, costumes and talent!
Katey loved it too...it was dark in the theater and then suddenly there were a lot of people singing and dancing...she loved the music and was even out of her seat a few times dancing along. I found myself tearing up a few times during the show-which I do at times (like the first time we watched fireworks with Katey at Carson Park). It was just one more moment in time with our daughter that I really feel like I get to see the world through her eyes. She is growing up so fast, in just over a month she will be three years old! Joe and I have no idea what has happened to time-it is just going so fast.
I sat in that dark theater with Katey on my lap for most of the musical-I found myself breathing her in...the smell of her hair and face next to mine. Her little hands holding mine. My little girl. I can't help but be sentimental and emotional-I just love her so much.
